Email I just got from one of my long time clients;
Rodney,
I just wanted to Thank You for the excellent service on the recent Saudi trip. The crew called me to let me know you took excellent care of the passengers (and them) They said you were 100% proactive on everything and it was like you have been on the aircraft for years.
Much appreciated!

To whom it may concern, It's my pleasure to recommend Rodney Folkerts for a flight attendant position. Rodney worked with me at USA Networks as an corporate flight attendant on a Gulfstream GIV from early 2000 until late 2001. I was the chief pilot and aviation manager and was Rodney's immediate supervisor. We had recently moved the flight department to Teterboro, NJ from Van Nuys, CA and needed an east coast based person to fill the position of flight attendant. Rodney was recommended by our CEO’s office. I don't remember if Rodney had any flight attendant experience at the time, but he was a fast learner and adapted quickly. Rodney always had a positive outlook, and was a pleasure to be around on our many lay overs. I can confidently recommend Rodney Folkerts as a good team player with a professional attitude. Please feel free to contact me.

Liz Heffernan Flight Attendant at World Airways; March 8, 2017
It is my great honor to recommend a former flying colleague of mine, Rodney K Folkerts, for the position of flight attendant
I have known Rodney for over 20 years. During that time, we flew together at two charter airlines.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Rodney, and came to know him as a truly valuable asset to any crew. He is honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working. Beyond that, he is an impressive photographer who always seems to bring out the joy and beauty of others around him.
His knowledge of aviation and expertise in safety regulations was a huge advantage to both companies. He graduated in the top of his class for training. He put this skillset to work in order to safely provide the highest level of customer service.
Along with his undeniable talent, Rodney was an absolute joy to work with. He is a true team player and always went out of his way for the customers we served. As a leader he patiently managed to foster positive results and bring the best of other crew members.
Without a doubt, I confidently recommend Rodney for this position. As a dedicated and knowledgeable employee and all-around great person, I know that he will be a beneficial addition to any company he joins.
Please feel free to contact me to expand on my recommendation.

Inflight Crewmember @jetBlue
Rodney Folkerts.
Rodney has served as a Flight Attendant aboard our Falcon aircraft. I have found Rodney to be consistently punctual, motivated and trustworthy. From the first time I worked with Rodney, it was apparent he is a true “self-starter” requiring minimal oversight. In serving our clients, Rodney is professional, polite and respectful. Whether communicating with high-net-worth clients, CSR’s, crewmembers or line personnel, he is clear and concise, using the perfect level of tact.
There’s one guarantee in the air-charter business, change will happen. It is common for our schedule to be blown-up on a daily (sometimes hourly!) basis. Rodney has traveled on short notice and handles last-minute arrangements seamlessly. He meets challenges with a positive attitude and gets the job done without drama. He arrives to work on time, with a smile and is enthusiastic to start working.
When we travel, we spend a lot of time together as a crew, “away from the job”. Rodney is a great company, and I have always observed him as kind, polite and respectful in all the interactions that happen throughout a trip, not just when “on-duty”.
Being a former Chief Pilot and Director of Operations for more than 20 years, I can recognize that Rodney is a highly-experienced and dedicated professional. I firmly believe he is a fantastic asset for any flight crew he works with, and that he will bring the highest level of safety and service to any client(s) he serves.
Sincerely,
Gary Helmeid

Dear Aviation Colleague:
In my own thirty (30) year endeavor in civil aviation cabin safety consulting, training and management for airlines on five continents and in my current role as a regulator, I have been and continue to be fortunate to encounter many dedicated and highly professional and experienced colleagues in our aviation industry.
Mr. Rodney Keith Folkerts is an aviation professional of that high caliber. My industry association with Rodney includes functioning as his training instructor and manager at World Airways and American International Airways (AIA), both global supplemental FAR Part 121 carriers operating widebody equipment with dynamic flying programmes and hugely diverse clients. My strong impressions of Rodney at World Airways led me to ask him to join our team at AIA where he was integral in assisting the company with all aspects of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification demonstrations and testing for the successful addition of a new airplane type to the company’s passenger fleet.
One of the clearest performance indicators for crewmember success in the aviation industry can be derived from dynamics with other crewmembers. Rodney is widely respected as a crewmember and actively sought after by his colleagues. My own observations and anecdotal information from other crewmembers over the years confirms my impression of the quality and value of Rodney’s interactions with his fellow cabin and flight deck crewmembers both on the airplane and at layover points. He has exercised good leadership and admits himself that aviation has been a strong source of leadership development for him and for development in adaptability, flexibility and critical thinking.
Rodney has an outstanding degree of engagement in the all-important “safety of flight” but also a strong passion for the astounding and world changing adventure that the aviation industry offers. He seems to be a perfect fit for the best of the ‘culture’ of aviation, and has demonstrated himself to be an excellent team player/leader/fellow crewmember. My thought is that he embodies a sense of fun and adventure regarding the entire aviation enterprise that is visible to clients/passengers and fellow crewmembers. This combination of unrelenting commitment to safety with enthusiasm for the flight and the destination and the people with him on the aircraft are central to Rodney’s continued success as an aviation professional. As you are likely aware, these are primary candidate attributes for those making personnel decisions in aviation.
From my perspective, it is a good thing for our industry that Rodney has chosen to include the aviation as part of his life and already with multiple and varied experiences and types of flying; he has my full endorsement and recommendation for any further steps he plans in the future .

Subject: RE: MMTO
(Emergency flight to MMTO-earthquake)
It took the whole team, and they came through again as they always do. I would like to highlight a few specific parts though.
I’m sure you saw our turn time in MMTO, this was in no small part due to XXXXXX coming through yet again. They all had a long and trying day I’m sure, but they were there in force with enough people to turn us as quickly as possible.
I’d also like to mention Rodney. To my knowledge this was his xxxxx flight with us. Aside from being fresh, available, and willing to take this flight on, I thought he did a fantastic job. 10 pax on a pop up trip in a rapidly changing situation would have been enough to test any cabin manager, but he could not have been more helpful or attentive to both the passengers and Jane and me. To top it off he had a great attitude throughout the whole evening/morning. Something else of note was that he proactively took full advantage on the empty leg down to explore the cabin system in further depth
Saks Fifth Avenue/HBC Digital Ali McCloud Studio Manager 2016 Year End Comments:
“Rodney repeatedly met his production goals. When the creative direction moved to unrecognizable models, Rodney took the increased item count and changes to video in stride. His communication skills have developed well and his confidence allows him to run his set in a professional manner. He is extremely proactive about competitor analysis, often sending ideas or references that he thinks may improve the quality of the customer’s experience. Rodney saw great success in accomplishing the goals set to shoot and develop the Men’s site standard alongside the Men’s Style Manager. Since then he has moved on to shooting all the divisions and has worked hard to develop good relationships with the entire Style Management team. Rodney has a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of materials and merchandise. He continually pushes his crew’s professional opinions but ultimately take responsibility for the final product. Throughout the year, Rodney has proven himself as a Photographer by remaining flexible, taking feedback and leading his crew confidently. In the coming year, I expect to see Rodney broaden his skills further. I hope that he will be a go to team member when it comes to shooting more challenging merchandise. He is extremely valued member of our team and I look forward to his continuing growth.”
